Their debut album, Meet The Temptations (1964), was released on the Gordy label, and their first hit single, “The Way You Do the Things You Do”, reached number one on the Billboard R&B chart.
The group’s next album, The Temptin’ Temptations (1965), featured the Top 10 hit single “My Girl”, which became their signature song.
The band’s third album, A Song For You (1970), was their first release on the Motown label. It included the hits “I Can’t Get Next to You” and “Psychedelic Shack”.
